Friendly Neighborhood Spider -18x24 Illusion Scratch Art

This friendly neighborhood Spider-Man inspired piece was fun! 18x24in piece.

It is ready to hang in a black frame and ready for its forever home.

My scratch art illusion pieces are first hand drawn person I believe possess a spirit like Peter Parker.

I then use crayons and color deep and everywhere to make sure it will show after I apply paint.

Before I apply paint, I then add an extra coat of wax that is a crayon like style to ensure no paint will stick to the piece.

I then cover in black tempra paint and wait to dry.

I then draw the design as lightly as possible to avoid having it show if there are any errors.

Then the fun, MESSY, part, I take a wooden skewer and start scratching the design in. I change up the pattern of the scratching to provide depth.

and voila! My inspired fan art has been created.
